Message/Reflection
I was in the Peace Child musical 33 years ago when I was at St. Edmunds’ School in Shillong (1988) thanks to my teacher Br. Eric Dsouza. When I met David at the UNEP Global Youth Forum at the University of California Berkeley in June 1995 I was so happy when he told me that he was from Peace Child International so I asked him if I could stop by PCI HQ on the way back home to Meghalaya northeast India and help out as an intern and my wish was granted. Now as we celebrate the 40th anniversary since the first performance at Royal Albert Hall in London, I want to reflect back on the beautiful journey that I embarked on with PCI in 1995. It’s guided me on my mission to restore the balance on earth and secure the future of generations to come. I am super grateful to Peace Child as well as David and Rosey for hosting me at PCI HQ, 26 years ago, where I developed my passion to engage with policymakers and diplomats on youth and sustainable development issues at different UN negotiations around the world.
