Massage & Bodywork with Annette
Sink into a calm, nurturing massage space where you can release tension, soften stress, and reconnect with your body. I weave together relaxing and therapeutic techniques so each session feels both soothing and effective
Massage and bodywork with me offers a gentle, grounded way to look after your whole self. Whether you’re living with stress, tight muscles, everyday aches, or simply longing for some deep rest, each session is tailored to meet you exactly where you are.

My approach is intuitive, compassionate, and unhurried. I work in a peaceful, non‑clinical setting, using touch that feels safe and respectful so your nervous system can relax. Many clients describe feeling calmer, lighter, and more at home in their bodies after just one treatment.

Every massage begins with a short conversation so I can understand how you are feeling and what you most need from your session. From there, I can offer a deeply relaxing massage, more focused therapeutic work, or a blend of both.

You might choose a flowing, lighter-pressure massage to soothe your nervous system and support better sleep, or firmer work to ease knots, stiffness and long-held tension. Treatments can focus on particular areas such as the back, neck and shoulders, or be a full-body session for overall balance and wellbeing.

Pressure is always adapted to your comfort and you are welcome to share feedback at any time so the massage truly supports you.

Warm bamboo massage uses gently heated, smooth bamboo tools to work into the muscles. The warmth helps your body soften and receive deeper work more comfortably, making it especially supportive if you hold a lot of tightness or prefer a firmer massage.

I use the warmed bamboo to glide, roll and apply pressure along the muscles, gradually melting away tension while still keeping the overall experience soothing and nurturing. Many people find this treatment deeply grounding, with a sense of both release and relaxation.

Warm bamboo massage can be offered as a full session or woven into a more traditional massage, depending on what your body needs that day.

You will have a short, unhurried consultation where I listen to how you are feeling physically, emotionally and energetically. Together you will agree the focus of the session, any areas to avoid and the type of pressure you prefer. You are always welcome to ask questions or share anything that will help you feel safe and comfortable.

You will be asked to undress only to the level you are comfortable with, and you will be covered with towels or a blanket throughout your treatment. Only the area being worked on is uncovered at any time. If you feel too warm, too cool or need to adjust your position, simply let me know so I can respond.

I use gentle, nourishing oils and creams, chosen to be kind to the skin. Where appropriate, I may draw on selected products from my own Garden Range to enhance relaxation and grounding. Please mention any allergies or sensitivities so that products can be adapted for you.

Massage is generally safe for many people, but there are times when it may need to be adapted or isn’t suitable. If you have a heart condition, uncontrolled high blood pressure, a recent operation or injury, a fever, active infection, blood clots, cancer treatment or are pregnant, please check with your GP before booking. You can also contact me to talk things through.

Throughout your massage, you remain in charge of your experience. You can adjust pressure, ask for more attention on certain areas or pause the session at any time. I work gently and respectfully so that your body never has to push or endure.

If you are unsure whether massage is right for you just now, you are warmly invited to get in touch and talk it through before booking.

Massage and bodywork sessions can be offered as shorter appointments, ideal if you want to focus on one or two key areas, or longer sessions that allow more time for full-body work or combination treatments.

If you are not sure which option to choose, simply share what you are hoping for when you get in touch and I will suggest a suitable approach. You might also like to read more about other therapies such as Reflexology and Energy Work & Shamanic Healing if you feel drawn to a more holistic or energetic focus.

To check availability, ask a question or arrange your massage, please use the contact details or enquiry form and I will respond as soon as I can.
